Activities of the Drug Procurement and Distribution Unit:
1. Monitoring the distribution of drugs in pharmacies, healthcare centers, networks and hospitals
2. Procuring and supplying drugs for both public and private sectors.
3. Holding meetings of the drug distribution headquarters.
4. Formulating policies for optimal drug distribution at the provincial pharmacy level
5. Providing information on rare medications.
Activities of the Pharmacy Affairs Unit:
1. Registering and scoring applicants for the establishment of pharmacies.
2. Scoring and reviewing related documents.
3. Introducing technical managers and deputies for pharmacie.
4. Assessing the demographic status of cities and villages in the province and creating new pharmacy establishment capacities.
5. Introducing newly established pharmacies to companies and insurance providers.
6. Handling matters related to the establishment, transfer of capital and relocation of pharmacies (submitted to the legal commission under Article 20).
7. Converting pharmacy service hours from part-time to daily or other arrangements (submitted to the legal commission under Article 20).
8. Issuing licenses to revoking pharmacy permits (after submission to the legal commission under Article 20).
9. Reviewing and approving the years of service of establishment applicants, etc. (after submission to the legal commission under Article 20).
10. Issuing establishment licenses, technical manager permits, and assessing the qualifications of technical managers (after submission to the legal commission under Article 20).
Technical - Supervision Unit Activities (Inspection - Expert Evaluation):
Inspection:
1. Inspecting pharmacies and drug units throughout the province.
2. Inspecting other locations as necessary in collaboration with relevant authorities such as law enforcement and other pertinent agencies.
3. Inspecting hospitals and clinics regarding drug status and delivery.
4. Reviewing public complaints and completing follow-up forms.
5. Inspecting distribution companies, bulk suppliers, and pharmaceutical factories.
Expert Evaluation:
1. Evaluating imported drugs at postal and customs points.
2. Assessing and identifying new locations for pharmacy establishment in collaboration with the Pharmacists Association.
3. Evaluating locations for pharmacy establishment.
4. Reviewing inspection forms and taking necessary actions.
5. Reviewing smuggling cases and correspondence from judicial authorities.
