Practical Objectives of the Rational Drug Prescription and Use Committee:
1.    Improving the quality of medical services and preventing irrational and excessive drug prescriptions and use.
2.    Assisting in health, treatment and pharmaceutical planning.
3.    Using information obtained from prescription reviews for educational and research purposes.
4.    Reasonably reducing and preventing unnecessary costs.
5.    Providing a correct model for rational drug prescription and medical services.
6.    Promoting public awareness regarding health, treatment, and medication

 

Responsibilities of the Rational Drug Prescription and Use Committee:

1.    Reviewing how drugs and medical services are used in the covered area.
2.    Developing models and guidelines for rational drug prescription and medical services in coordination with the national committee.
3.    Implementing educational programs such as workshops to enhance medical knowledge and address issues related to irrational drug prescription and use.
4.    Forming expert and specialized committees.
5.    Determining how to allocate committee funding.
6.    Making necessary decisions based on the provisions of the guidelines for forming rational drug prescription committees regarding doctors, pharmacies, and other health care centers using results from prescription reviews.
